Event Day
We can't wait to see you on Derby Day!
For our Derby first-timers, expect a parade-style event with spectators watching from the sidelines. The race starts near the intersection of Bryan Pl and Madison Ave in Decatur's Oakhurst neighborhood. Bring blankets and chairs and enjoy the day!
The schedule below is subject to change because every heat is different!
10:30 AM - Registration opens for drivers! Enter Madison Ave through Johnston Place and look for the registration tent.
11:00 AM - The vendors open as registration continues.
12:00 PM - It's Derby Time! The general public will start to arrive, and the judges interview the drivers in Pit Row.
01:00 PM - Racing Begins! Heat 01 Starts. The 100 Series racers will be called to line up prior to the start.
01:30 PM - Heat 02 Starts after a short break. The 200 Series racers will be called to line up during the break.
02:00 PM - Heat 03 Starts after a short break. The 300 Series racers will be called to line up during the break.
02:30 PM - Heat 04 Starts after a short break. The 400 Series racers will be called to line up during the break.
03:00 PM - The Adult Fun Run starts after a short break. The Adult Fun Run gives all the big kids a chance to have fun!
03:30 PM - The Awards Ceremony begins! Please stick around to cheer on all the winners and help us clean up Madison Avenue!
Food & Merch
Enjoy a meal from the U Joint & Steinbeck's or Madre Garcia's tents, then treat yourself to something sweet from our Bake Sales Tent.
Food options are available from 11:00 AM - 4:00 PM.

Transportation
Street parking is limited. We encourage attendees to walk, bike, or take MARTA. The East Lake MARTA Station is half a mile from Madison Ave.
